SCHEDULE

• September 16, 2011 (3:30 PM to 4:45 PM)

Potentia, Inc. has invited me to be one of their guest speakers for Super Kids 2011 – Supporting Creative, Learning, Championship Minds on September 16, 2011 at 3:30-4:45 P.M.  The theme of this year’s conference will be on “Developing the ‘Champion Mindset’ and ‘Creativity’ in every child for the 21st century” and my talk will focus on “A Champion Spirit in Every Child.“

This two-day event will run from September 16-17, 2011 (8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.) at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia (MOA) Complex, Pasay City, Philippines and caters to parents, teachers, educators, students, and to anyone who works with children.

• July 23, 2011 (3:00 PM to 5:00 PM)

I will be among several speakers at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza for the third day of the 2nd Neuropathic Pain Resource Exchange Programme for Asia (2nd REP-Asia).  REP-Asia is a training course for young pain practitioners from all over Asia and will run from July 22-25, 2011.

I will be facilitating a workshop entitled, “Conducting an Effective Intake Interview: Content and Purpose” in the University of Santo Tomas (UST) as part of the 47th Annual Convention and General Assembly of the Philippine Guidance and Counseling Association (PGCA).

The 6th Annual Pain Symposium, a program sponsored by the relaunched Makati Medical Center (MMC) Pain Control Clinic, will be held on April 12, 2011 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the 8th floor auditorium, Tower II, Makati Medical Center, Makati City.

My topic will be an introduction to “Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy in Pain Management.”

Last February, Milo B.E.S.T. Basketball (Basketball Efficiency Scientific Training) invited me to speak to several of their coaches on the subject of motivation.  The talk, entitled, “Motivating Today’s Young Athletes” it was held in the World Citi College Gymnasium in Caloocan City on March 5, 2011 (Saturday).

• January 26, 2011 (1:00 to 2:20 PM)

The DLS-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) Center for Counseling Services has invited me on January 26, 2011 (Wednesday) to give a talk entitled, “Understanding Adolescent Depression.”  The talk is one of the many activities scheduled for the DLS-CSB’ Center for Counseling Services Week (Theme: “Community Spirit Building through Compassionate and Caring Services” – January 24-28, 2011) that aims to build an awareness on adolescent depression and available on-campus counseling services.

The talk will be held in the Augusto-Rosario Gonzalez Theater on January 26, 2011 (Wednesday) from 1:00-2:20 P.M.
