MOM = Maker of Miracles
Happy Mother’s Day to all the mom’s out there!
Whenever I give a talk and ask participants what they do, there have been some occasions wherein the mother’s in the audience find it difficult to share that they are housewives.
Should that ever happen, I always make it a point to tell everyone that being a housewife–being a mother–is the most important job in the world!
Think about it.
No days offs.
No pay.
Rinse and repeat.
So hats off to all the mom’s out there and enjoy your special day.
Mother’s Day 2017
For Mother’s Day, I got to treat my family to the 40th Anniversary concert of The Village People over at the KIA Theater yesterday.
The KIA Theater. It was only early this year that I found out were that was[i]. Prior to that, whenever I would hear someone talk about over the radio, the way it came across to me was, “What? You don’t know where the KIA Theater is?”
Yes. I never bothered to look it up online. I guess I was never that interested in knowing until I literally walked right up to in while having breakfast in the Cubao area.
Another mystery solved.
But I digress, The Village People were great and did a good job blending in their new members with the original crew. Their front act, Bjorn Again, a parody of the Swedish pop group ABBA, was also equally entertaining.
Everyone, including yours truly, had a memorable evening.

[i] Turns out the refurbished theater is located right across The Araneta Coliseum and Gatway–it’s in the building with the McDonalds and Pizza Hut restaurants. You can’t miss it!
